High-class personal matter in the TV-Producing scene: Nico Hofmann rises to the position of Co-CEO of the UFA group and shall lead the creative headquarters of the private broadcaster following an interim phase starting 2017 on his own. After that Wolf Bauer, the current head of the group, retires from the operative business. The UFA group is the umbrella company of all German production activities of FremantleMedia. According to the company, Bauer remains at the company's side also after 2017 as a consultant. Nico Hofmann, born 1959, ranks among the most considerable German film producers and has been by now involved in more than 350 productions. He won numerous national and international awards with works such as 'Der Tunnel', 'Dresden', 'Mogadischu' or 'Bornholmer Straße'. The mini-series 'Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter', produced by him, won the International Emmy Award in 2014 and is present with sales in more than 100 countries one of the most sold German productions ever.
