Meanwhile the screenings for the successful US-series "Homeland" are in full progress in Berlin and Babelsberg. Studio Babelsberg is executive producer and Claire Danes plays the leading role of the CIA-agent Carrie Mathison. Rupert Friend and Mandy Patinkin are on her side again as well as famous German actors with international shooting experiences: Sebastian Koch is Otto Düring, the boss of protagonist Carrie and her lover is played by Alexander Fehling. Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg funds the 5th season with one million euro. Therefor a new funding programme for serial formats was initiated this year so that "Homeland" is the first US-series that is completely screened in Germany.
